If you are a 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4) or labor organization you will have free access to the app and our personalized coaching sessions. Additionally, in some cases, you may be eligible for grants so that you can hire staff and ensure your relational organizing program runs smoothly and effectively. For political candidates, we have affordable pricing options.
Empower Project is a Midwest-based organization with staffers located across the US. We’re organizers, tech-savvy engineers, and activists committed to a progressive, equitable future for all. We have been supporting relational organizing work for over a decade and are passionate about empowering others to implement relational organizing into their own work – because it is so effective!
Relational programs leverage authentic friend-to-friend and family relationships in order to activate real social networks. Through the power of these relationships we can connect with and empower otherwise difficult to reach communities. Currently, 40% of BIPOC voters are considered unreachable through the standard voter file. Relational programs allow us to engage communities without leaving anyone behind.
Empower Project is the only non-profit organization that specializes in relational organizing. We not only provide our app, Empower, but we also provide hands-on training and regular check-ins to help you succeed. We’ve had success at all levels, for both small and large organizations and campaigns, and we’re well equipped to help scale at any level.
We also believe in movement-owned technology. The Empower App is designed to be your volunteer action hub to stay connected with, expand, and activate your supporters.

Engage volunteers with relational calls to action such as recruiting, mobilizing, events and fundraising. We support features like Open Canvassing, Door to Door Canvassing with auto-turf cutting and the ability to request nearby turf. Phone and text bank Support for calling, texting, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Snapchat, Instagram, and Signal. We support iOS, Android and web browsers. We even have pen and paper options for low-tech volunteers. With in-app branding for your organization and Spanish and English language support, the Empower App can be your All-in-One App.
