Apply for Grant Opportunities

Thanks to the generous support of our individual donors and foundations we work with, in some cases we are able to connect or provide organizations with funding opportunities to hire organizing staff to implement and scale their relational organizing programs.

2024 Grant Funding Initial Application

Empower Project has grant funding available for 501(c)(4) partners in Arizona and Wisconsin, for partners interested in taking a more active role in recruiting for our fall 2024 Paid Relational Hubs and supplementing their own organizing efforts.

Process & Timeline

  • We will accept applications beginning on March 22, 2024.
  • We will begin reviewing grant applications on April 15, 2024
  • We will make our decisions in early May and move funding in June 2024.
  • Groups who organize in BIPOC communities, young people, and rural communities will be given preference.

These are small grants of $10,000-$100,000 meant to add funding to already planned programs such as, but not limited to, groups with enough organizing capacity and resources that plan to:

  • Begin a volunteer relational program early in the summer, and those volunteers could fold in as paid community mobilizers after Labor Day.
  • Begin a door knocking program, and recruit potential community mobilizers at the doors later this summer and through the fall.
  • Begin a high traffic canvassing program and recruit potential community mobilizers while tabling and attending events throughout the summer.
  • Begin an intensive cohort training program for key staff and volunteers on including relational organizing into their programs to generate leads.
