In 2018, Tuesday Company received an Analyst Institute grant to run an experiment on the impact of relational organizing on a person’s likelihood to vote. Clarity Campaigns supported the project by helping design a national experiment to evaluate contacts made using the Team app by Tuesday Company’s clients. The experiment designed throughout the summer of 2018 by randomizing a voter file and matching contacts loaded to the app. The experiment was implemented in the weeks running up to the November general election.
The experiment showed no statistical differences on a person’s likelihood to vote based on engagement through the Team app. However, turnout among voters in Team users’ contact lists was much higher than the national average.
