Oscar Romero
Senior Software Engineer
Oscar is a DACAmented Mexican American and an activist on many things including climate justice, immigrant rights, education equity, and the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion. He is also a first-gen immigrant, first-gen college graduate, and a passionate software engineer. He has worked on numerous projects such as VotemosNC, a bilingual space for the Latinx community to get information about elections and voting in NC, started a blog site called “My Undocu Life” about life of undocumented individual in the United States, serves as a mentor for the Golden Door Scholars program, and volunteers on phone banks, text banks, and canvassing campaigns that engage with several communities in NC and beyond. He believes that we can all leave a tiny grain of sand on the mountain of change that we all must work to create.
